I survived the night. Chris, Kristian and I kept on walking through the fog until we got back to the house around 1 AM. I was deadly tired since I had spent the night before on the bus with very little sleep. We went to bed. The plan was to get up early the next morning to go hiking.

I woke up at around 9:30 AM and felt pretty good considering the vast amounts of alcohol I had consumed the night before. We had a quick breakfast, jumped into the truck and drove to West Quoddy Head.

West Quoddy Head is the easternmost point in 48 contiguous states of the United States. There is a lighthouse on the site that guides ships through the  Quoddy Narrow, a narrow strait between Canada and the United States. In the building next to the lighthouse is a small museum that shows the history, flora and fauna of the area.

There is also a foghorn on the premises. You can here the distinct sound from miles away.

We stopped by at the museum for a couple of minuets and then started our hiking trip.
