I want to use today’s post to thank a friend of mine who has been closer to me then anybody else since the beginning of the this year. I met her at the end of last year and it was love at first sight. Since then she has been always with me, on good days as well as bad days, in the sun, in the rain, in the snow and on the beach. She went with me to Las Vegas, hit the ground hard on the video shoot with John, made her way through the fog in Maine and was with me in Central Park on weekends. She always stood on my side and never failed me.

Her name is G9 and she is made by Canon. I bought this small powerful camera at the end of 2007 and it has been with me ever since. I used it for most of the images on this blog. Only some of them are shot with a Nikon D200 and then cropped on G9 dimensions for continuity.

It is the best point and shoot camera on the market. But just when I wanted to start to brag about how good it is I found out that it was just discontinued. Well, there is probably already the next big thing on its way.

That does not change the fact that the G9 is a great camera and perfect for having a 12 Megapixel camera with you all the time.

Dear G9, thank you so much, this blog would not have been possible without you!
