Magic Of Photography

At the end of August I shot my friends Michelle and David’s wedding. Shooting a wedding is quite a challenge. So many things are happening at the same time. There are constantly special moments taking place that are either captured or lost forever. It is a test to see how familiar you are with your equipment and how fast you can react to frequently changing light situations.

It was a long twelve-hour shoot on one of the most humid days of the year. I shot thousands of images and have spent quite some time editing over the last couple of weeks. But when I come along images like the one that I post today it reminds me why I love what I am doing. Photography is not about capturing what you see. To me it is about capturing what you don’t see.

That is the magic of photography.
