Party On
I decided to have a birthday party since the last birthday I celebrated on a bigger scale was my 30th. Because I was very busy and sometimes just assume that when I announce a party a lot of people will show up I did not send out invitations before Thursday last week. The party was last Saturday.
I went out all the way, bought a spinning party ball and a smoke machine. I hooked up my computer to a receiver and set up a surround sound system and was the DJ for the night. My best friend Marco made vegetarian sushi, guacamole, humus and vegan tiramisu. I called and invited lots of people.
It ended up being a much smaller party then I had anticipated. Many people did not show up. Out of the 40 to 100 people I had expected only 20 or so made it over to Brooklyn. But it still was a fantastic night with lots of dancing. I had an amazing time.
The special guests of the night were my sister Nina and my old friend Marko T. Crawford. Both of them I had not seen in a very long time.

This is a little clip from the party shot by my roommate Nieves that also documents that I still need practice to be a DJ. :-)
