Thirtynine
Time flies. Even though I still look like I’m 25 (almost ! :-)) I turned 39 on the first of October. To get my mind off this ridiculous number I came up with the idea to have a birthday party.Last Saturday was the big day. It was stress until the last minuet but when the first guest walked into the loft I had gone through 22000 songs to pick the right music, had set up a surround system and had installed a smoke machine, bubble machine and a spinning disco ball. The whole place was lit specifically for the occasion and a photo booth was set up to take portraits of the guests. It was a fantastic night with lot’s of dancing and I had quite a few drinks too much. In fact my legs hurt so much the next morning that I barely made it out of bed.I want to use this opportunity to say thank you. First I want to thank my friend Marco for making the party possible. He stopped by the day before to help me to light the place and set up the photo booth. On the day of the party he made all the food. We had humus, guacamole, tuna and potato salad. He also baked three huge great tasting cheesecakes.Marco my friend, thank you so much for your help. This party would not have happened without you!I also want to thank all the people who made their way out to Williamsburg. It was a pleasure having you! I hope everybody had a great time.I was so busy djing and dancing that I had no time to take pictures. I took this photograph of the space at 6 AM after the party was already over."Thirtynine" Williamsburg/Brooklyn/My birthday party 10-04-09 at 05:53 AM
