The Toughest Job In The World
Nothing worthwhile is easy in life. To me being a good parent must be the toughest job in the world but at the same time also the most rewarding. Spending time with my friend Michael in Florida once again reminds me what it means bring up children. He and his wife Megan are the parents of three. Eli (6), Coko (3) and Jude (2). The kids get up at 7 AM and there is not one dull moment until they go to bed at 7 PM. Michael and Megan are putting everything they have into doing the best possible job raising them. The result is three sweet, happy children. Following their lead I put everything I have into being the best uncle I can what leaves me completely exhausted at the end of the day.Parenting is actually not that difficult but doing it well is. Putting in this effort makes such a difference though. It gives the child the feeling of being loved, being safe and being able to achieve anything in life. How many of us had a happy childhood though? Who got out of it self confident, feeling good about oneself and knowing that only the sky is the limit? It wasn’t me or anybody I know.
